Progress & first results

We’ve built a strong core team of committed volunteers and are receiving generous support from the EA community. This has allowed us to make rapid progress in a short time. The first survey results are highly promising, which motivates us to move forward steadily while actively exploring funding opportunities to accelerate the next phase. On this page, we share early milestones and first insights.

Market research
We mapped existing e-health tools in the Netherlands, identified underserved groups, and analyzed key gaps in the current landscape.

Literature review

We conducted a review of effective components in (online) parenting programs. Interventions that are behavior-focused, easily accessible, and foster peer support appear to be the most promising.

Plan of action
We drafted a detailed project proposal and implementation plan, outlining our goals, approach, and evaluation strategy to guide the next phases of development.

Needs assessment
We developed and distributed a needs assessment survey to better understand the challenges and preferences of parents. We are currently in the process of collecting and analyzing the responses.

Funding and grant applications
We are actively pursuing funding through various channels, including grant applications and philanthropic fundraising, to support the development and implementation of the project.

Concept design
We are working on the first prototype of the intervention, which will be presented to both parents and professionals for feedback as part of a co-creative design process.

Building strategic partnerships
We are identifying and approaching potential collaborators from relevant sectors and exploring opportunities to formalize partnerships that support the project's long-term impact and scalability.

"We’re creating an online parenting program grounded in research. It focuses on managing challenging behavior like not listening, tantrums, or lying. How interested would you be?"

What do parents think themselves?

"Help parents understand the underlying causes of children’s behaviour."
"Remind parents that they don’t need to be perfect."
"Don’t forget to help parents laugh at the everyday chaos now and then."

Parents are especially interested in information about...

Parenting distress

Prototype in progress

Together with Family Supports we are currently working on the first concept version of the parenting program. As part of the co-iterative development phase, this concept will be shared with parents to gather feedback. Based on their input, we will refine and improve the design.
Below, a visual impression of the current concept is presented.
