About
Parent 3upport is a non-profit initiative dedicated to strengthening the mental health of children by empowering the people who matter most: their parents.
We develop accessible, evidence-based parenting support with a strong focus on prevention, long-term impact, and social inclusion. By combining insights from behavioral science and lived experience, we aim to help parents build stronger relationships, navigate challenges, and foster resilience in their families.
All our materials are open access and free to use under a Creative Commons license, because we believe that knowledge that can help others should be shared widely.

Mission
To develop an open-access, scientifically grounded parenting intervention that strengthens parenting skills, enhances parent-child relationships, and helps prevent mental health issues in children.
Vision
A world where every parent has access to effective, evidence-based support, empowering them to foster their child's mental well-being and resilience.

Our Team
We are a group of motivated volunteers and professionals, brought together through the Moral Ambition and Effective Altruism communities. What unites us is a shared commitment to using our time and skills to contribute to projects with the greatest possible social impact. This means we focus on cost-effective solutions to problems that are Sizable, Solvable, and Sorely neglected (the 3S Framework).
Our team includes people from diverse backgrounds, including psychology, youth care, data, research, and design. We work closely with parents and practitioners to build on proven insights and practical experience.
We are curious. Beyond the direct impact of this project, we also see it as an Effective Altruism (EA) testing ground: a space where we can experiment, reflect, and learn together, regardless of the final outcome. This project gives us the opportunity to apply EA principles in a real-world setting, testing what works best in practice and refining our approach based on evidence and experience.
We are ambitious. If our intervention proves effective, we aim to scale it - both nationally and beyond. Everyone on the team is intrinsically motivated to make a difference, and we’re always looking for people who share that drive to maximize social impact.
We are independent. We are, volunteer-led initiative with no fixed funding or paid positions. While we plan to apply for grants to expand our capacity, we are committed to staying as flexible and unbiased as possible. Our decisions should be led by data and impact - not by funding requirements or institutional interests. This independence allows us to critically assess the effectiveness of the intervention and to change direction if needed.
