About the project
At OOOpvoeden, we support parents who sometimes struggle with their child's behaviour.
We provide clear information and practical tips on setting rules and boundaries, building a strong relationship with your child, and responding to challenging behaviour.
Our message is simple: you are not alone. And you don't have to get it right every time.
A strong parent-child bond makes all the difference!
Prevention works best
Half of all mental health problems start before the age of 14. We know that a child's environment plays a big role in this.
A strong, safe bond with you as a parent builds resilience in your child. It reduces the risk of stress, anxiety, low mood and problems at school - and with that, the risk of mental health problems later in life.
Asking for help isn't always easy
Many parents don't seek help - or wait too long - when their child shows challenging behaviour. Often they doubt themselves: is my problem serious enough? But shame, lack of time, or simply not knowing where to start can also get in the way.
We believe in a simple solution
We want to make it easier to find reliable support. Our help is free, practical and accessible to everyone.
Developed together with parents
OOOpvoeden is still very much a work in progress. We build it step by step, together with parents and professionals.
Did you come across something that could be better? Let us know. Your experiences help us improve the programme and teach us what really works.
Our approach

Positive & practical
We highlight what works, rather than focusing on what goes wrong. Using concrete examples from everyday life, we provide information that is easy to apply at home.
Adaptive development
We combine insights from research with practical experience. Our program is developed co-iterative development proces, step by step, so that it fits real daily life.

Empowering parents
We believe that not all questions and concerns require professional help. That's why we focus on empowering parents and involve them closely in the development of our programme.
Tips and feedback
